Proximity, and in particular the Proximity News Theme, is the product of over 100 hours of labor by your humble developer, Nathan Rice.  It is the ultimate in usability, and from a feature perspective, is matched by very few, if any at all, in the WordPress News Theme business. It is simply the most advanced News Theme available.

The idea is simple.  WordPress is a killer publishing system, destined for small to large news outlets, only held back (theoretically) by lack of quality theme development.  Proximity aims to change that.

Using features built into the core of WordPress, Proximiy takes what has, perhaps, only been used for small time blogging, and makes it do more than ever before.  It makes WordPress better, and thus makes publishing easier, better, and more exciting!

Fear not, though.  Our instructional videos and support forums are here to help those of you who may be a bit apprehensive.  We’ll walk you through each step up the installation and setup, and we’ll even show you how to start publishing articles, all through our instructional screencast videos.  Just follow along and do what I do, and you’ll be publishing in no time!
